Marquez believes Fedchenko is a very dangerous opponent .

Three division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez (53-6, 39KOs) is taking no chances with his upcoming fight on April 14th in Mexico City. Marquez will face Sergey Fedchenko (30-1, 13KOs) of Ukraine for the vacant interim-WBO 140-pound title.

Marquez was originally scheduled to take on Argentine boxer Cesar Rene Cuenca, who is unbeaten with 42 wins, but only a single knockout on his record. Cuenca fell through and Fedchenko stepped in. Marquez believes Fedchenko is a very dangerous opponent, and certainly more dangerous than Cuenca.

What Arum should do instead of matching Rios against Marquez in July would be to ignore that fight and just throw Rios in with Pacquiao to get torn apart in 2012. Arum can always toss Rios in against Marquez after Rios loses to Pacquiao. Rios could then take another beating and fans would likely forget about him.

Marquez-Fedchenko on HBO PPV

Juan Manuel Marquez vs. Sergey Fedchenko live On April 14th, HBO will have two fights shown in a pay-per-view split site telecast fight card with Juan Manuel Marquez (53-6-1, 39 KO’s) vs. Ukrainian Serhiy Fedchenko (30-1, 13 KO’s) in one of the main fights with former WBA World lightweight champion Brandon Rios (29-0-1, 22 KO’s) fighting Richard Abril (17-2-1, 8 KO’s) in the other big fight on the card. To me, both these fights look like mismatches and I can’t see either of them being worth it to pay to see this. I like value for my money.
